Performance products like KONG LIFTS® will only work if the instructions are read and understood.

YEARLY MAINTENANCE to be performed before use.

  1. Extend the Main Stem until it stops full extended. Wipe off all the excess grease/dirt with a clean rag.

  2. Wipe or Spray on new dry grease on all 4 sides of the Main Stem.

  3. Inspect the Lift Ride Pin at the bottom of the Main Stem for tightness and any forms of wearing or bending. Remember the electric lift can exert up to 1000 lbs. of force.

  4. Inspect closely for signs of any cracking of welds or disfigurement of the structure.

  5. Tighten all bolts

  6. Inspect electrical connections and possible cuts in the electric cord surface.

WARRANTY

KONG LIFTS® guarantees that its products are free from defects in design, workmanship and materials for a period of one year starting from the date of delivery of each unit.
The warranty only covers flaws and faults that occur where the unit is used properly in compliance with the instructions contained in this manual and where scheduled and periodic maintenance is performed as detailed within this manual. Welds and fabrication are warranted up to 5 years from the date of purchase. Each unit comes with an identification serial and tracking manufacturing number stamped permanently into the metal of the unit.
KONG LIFTS® shall repair or replace those parts it acknowledges to be faulty during the warranty period.
A unit that has been acknowledged as faulty on account of flaws in design, workmanship or materials used, shall be repaired or replaced free of charge by KONG LIFTS®
Repairs and/or replacements made by KONG LIFTS® during the warranty period do not in any way prolong the warranty itself.
Acknowledgment that a defect is covered by warranty does not in itself mean that KONG LIFTS® is in any way liable to award compensation.
Requirements
Should the customer note any flaws and/or defects he must report them, in writing, to KONG LIFTS® within two months or 60 days of their discovery; otherwise the warranty shall be rendered null and void.
Routine and unscheduled maintenance must be carried out in compliance with the instructions contained in this manual. Should the required work not be covered by this manual or if additional technical assistance is required, you are advised to contact KONG LIFTS® in writing, even where agreements have already been made over the phone.
What is not covered
The warranty does not cover faults caused by improper use of the unit, exposure to atmospheric agents (rain, etc.), damage during transport, electrical in use components or the use of used or non-original KONG LIFTS® parts.
All materials are subject to wear and those subject to periodic maintenance are not covered by the warranty and are to be paid for by the customer in full.  Costs regarding transport, delivery of spare parts and any materials subject to wear shall be met by the customer.
The sending of technicians to assess the presumed defects and/or flaws reported by the customer does not in itself imply acknowledgment that the condition/defect is covered by warranty. Any travel expenses and accommodation costs for personnel sent by KONG LIFTS® to the customer’s premises shall be met by the customer, regardless of whether the service is determined to be covered by warranty.

Limitations
Warranty is rendered null and void if the unit is tampered with or if work is carried out on it by personnel that have not been authorized by KONG LIFTS®.
The receipt of machinery, assemblies, components or parts at the KONG LIFTS® facility does not in itself imply acknowledgment that the defect is covered by warranty.
KONG LIFTS® shall not be liable for any other expenses sustained by the dealer or the customer such as presumed damage (present or future), lost earnings or fines.
KONG LIFTS® cannot be held liable for any other direct or indirect damages due to unit defects and flaws (loss of production or earnings etc.) except in cases where serious negligence is demonstrated.
KONG LIFTS® cannot be held liable for any delays or failure to execute work.
KONG LIFTS® cannot be held liable for any damage or malfunctions caused by work performed on the unit by unauthorized personnel.
